Where is RUN in Windows Vista?

March 6th, 2007 | by Brian |

Windows Vista does not have RUN in Start Menu by default, but you can easily access it by pressing “Windows” + “R” keys simultaneously.

You can also customize the Start Menu by:

  1. Right-click on the taskbar, then select “Properties“.
  2. Click on “Start Menu” tab, then click on “Customize“.
  3. Check “Run command“.

I just bought a new Lenovo windows XP before they took them all off the shelves. And I cannot find either “Run” or “Search” in the start menu. I followed the instruction above, all the boxes are checked, still can’t find them………….

I was deleting some pre-loaded programs off my system. I guess I deleted the Dock program which allows for quick desktop access to programs. How can I reload the WINDOWS VISTA Dock program. I inserted the Vista CD but stopped at the page to select the partition as it appeared that I was actually going to be reloading Vista. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing where to find the “Run” box. Was an absolute pain trying to find it in Vista.

Need to find it in order to do msconfig to delete these hidden startups. Booting takes forever and these useless software packages installed on newer systems just loads up the memory.

    Thanks again.
