Your instructions on removing AntiSpySpider won’t work. You begin by telling the user to open Task manager, but you cannot open Task Manager when you have the AntiSpySpider on your computer. Impossible. In fact, you can’t even get into your registry to modify it and gain access. The first step in beating this thing is to be able to get in to task manager.

spyhunter is probably great…but I would have appreciated knowing that it just looks and does not actually do anything til I buy it.

Just got infected (Another computer of course). Can’t use task manager, can’t use regedit with this evil spyware. Can you recommend a way that is possible? Is there a way that actually works?

Run Lavasoft’s Free Adaware program and it will allow you to get back into your task manager and regedit. However it will not remove the AntispySpider program.

Start>Run> and type this:
REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
It should enable task manager, but the rest of the instructions on this page seem to be false. There is no AntiSpySpider folder or a process named AntispySpider.exe

Remember antispy will also disable registry editing so the use of REG add above wont work either. Options to try is restore point to a previous period OR login under safe mode and then try and edit the registry then to enable the Taskmgr.

Jochum
