    got rid of antivirus xp 08, but can’t change my desktop back or restore my computer to an earlier date

    Antispyware 2008 XP has changed its name to Antispyware XP 2008. Guess what? It’s the same rogue antispyware application with a different mask. Please be awared of this.

    I deleted the folder called antispyware xp 2008, but popups still existed. :(

    yeah!!!!!
    It works, the most possible tah ypu don´t have all entries for Antispyware 2008 XP but delete registry entries is enough if you don´t have installed this program as was my case.

    other less fine solution is to create a file and launch automatically when you power on computer with theese lines:

    taskkill /F /IM as2008xp.exe
    taskkill /F /IM asxp2008.exe
