The reason they allow you to carry out a free scan is for you to get a feel for how simple their products are to use. The hope is that you then go on to buy the full product.

The virus slipped into my system along with a torrent file I downloaded, but it didn’t hold for longer than 5 minutes for Nod32 kept it from bringing in its malicious friends.
I killed all it’s processes simply with the task messenger (I believe those where Antivirus 2008.exe, Bravius.exe and a few more). Then I used a program called Autoruns to remove all its files from Windows Startup and some other places. To prevent it from reviving I turned off System Restore and emptied it.
That did the job.

All yesterday, it was sitting on my desktop and it had three other copies. I deleted two of them and opened the last one! Stupid me, but I didn’t know what it was and I wanted to find out. Soon after I found out I tried to restore my system, but somehow all of the previous system checks were deleted and I couldn’t restore my system…
I then tried to remove it from my system, but an error came up! I’m so upset because school is about to start and I have a virus on my computer! Most of my classes this year involve my computer….
I’m in safe-mode right now and it sucks because I can’t play my music…I don’t know what to do!
