“protectpage.com” is an offended website that provides fake security alerts in your browsers. If your Internet homepage has been
hijacked to “asafetywarning.com”, it is very likely your computer being infected with Zlob.Trojan. The “protectpage.com” website pops up a warning message stating that you have Virus or Trojan in your computer. If you click OK, it will redirect you to buy one of the products below:
- MalwareWiped
- SpyLocked
- SpyHeal
- PestCapture
- AntivirusGolden
You might also get System Alert messages on the bottom right of the screen. The system Alert message usually states that your have a virus, trojan, or simply stating that your computer is running slow.To restore the browser’s homepage:
- Open Internet Explorer -> go to Tools -> Internet Option
- Delete “protectpage.com”, and then enter the intended URL. (For example, google.com)
- Then click OK
