Alpha Antivirus Descriptions:
Alpha Antivirus is the fake anti-spyware program which is nothing more than the waste of your money. As most of the similar programs, Alpha Antivirus pretends to scan your computer, starts displaying simulated alerts on the viruses on your machine, and urges Internet users to purchase the full version of the application. Usually, it is installed on your computer without even noticing that after you enter some site, or diagnose problems on your computer with a free online scanner.
In addition, the rogue has one more dangerous feature. It is the tool to steal your passwords, so beware.
We advise to be extremely careful with this application, and never install Alpha Antivirus on your personal computer. If you have already put the program on your machine, follow the steps and remove it. You won’t get any benefit from Alpha Antivirus. The rogue anti-spyware program creators will only take your money. Beware!

Okay…I think I have the real fix for this phukkin Alpha crap.
I tried all of the suggested fixes to no avail. I searched my registry and it wasn’t there. So I let the alpha thing run for a second and noticed where the Alpha.exe file location was.
It showed it was in
C:\program files\x86\Alpha
(something to that effect)
Since the Alpha program starts automatically based upon the executable file, I just deleted that S.o.b.
Before you start deletion attempts, make sure you open the task manager and end the Alpha process first (or it won’t let you delete it).
And to all the “free” malware/spyware peddlers – you ppl are dikks.
Thank God I have the understanding to figure this crap out myself and help other ppl without charging them.
Email me if you all have any further ??? or need any further help.

BTW…System Restore may or may not work. Didn’t work for me…I think Alpha was blocking it somehow…not sure though.
THANKS MISSY…it worked thank God
thank you so much luther. I dont know who you are, but you are BOMB. that worked!
L
You the man……
had same problem. did remove some components before I ran across your comments. followed in the same direction. Not sure why my internet provider did not catch this. Scarey…. Maybe a halloween joke. some joke. 2/3 hours out of my life
Plz Help…I cant figure it out… Its quiet confusing becasue im not sure what to look for.
Thanks Luther
File location on my machine was:
C:\program files\AlphaAV
ctrl/alt/delete to get to task manager, in order to end the task first, was key help for me.
Thanks again
Some good news although not a fix. I learned that Homeland security is investigating Alpha
sources as is the FBI !!! They believe this
is a test run by the rogue jackasses to event-
ually shut down computers as a terrorist act.
I’ve decided to allow as many viruses in so
I can testify in court and get damages. My
attorney is soooo into it as he has been in-
fected as well so just hold on. DO NOT PAY
ANYONE TO FIX THIS !!!
Thanks Luther!!! It was pretty simple once I read your instructions. You rock!!!!
Luther,
You are awesome. It worked and thanks to you, I was able to remove that deviant Alpha Antivirus. What we were not able to do with other antivirus software, we were able to do with your direction. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Luther’s solution worked where all others had failed!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks luther, it worked, I got rid of that annoying crapola!!!! BTW I still have a remmanence in IE where I go to a page on the net and I get a screen that says malicious software website bla bla bla. I look at the adress and it shows ABOUT:blank. Does anyone know how to et rid of that?
I removed alpha antivirus as luther explained but i keep getting a message that pops up whenever i go on sites?

Candace, in task mgr click on the processes tab. Highlight, rightclick and end process on any alpha process and it the name is a just a series of numbers.
Thanks!!! Got rid of Alpha by following your instructions. Other posters are correct. There seems to be no such thing as a free download. You guys taught me a lot about my computer. I only have one more issue. It’s a notice about my computer being unprotected and shows a man with a sign on the left. It asks if I want to continue unprotected or “fix” the problem. Not sure of the wording. Any-Hoo thanks. If you send me a phone# I’ll contact you and give you some renumeration. I don’t do money on the internet. T Helms
T Helms again. The message asks if I want to continue or get security software. How do I get rid of this?

I can’t find the alpha program in my task manger. What now?
Hey Luther
you. are. amazing! I’ve been dealing with this ridiculous thing for a week. wouldn’t let me go on the internet at all. It also wouldn’t let me open the task manager either. I just went into my computer and searched for alpha. I deleted every file associated with it. Then I went into add/remove programs and uninstalled it.
Worked like a charm!!
it kept coming up on the screen for so long my mother finally bought the full version then I couldn’t even activate the damn thing! 80 dollars just like that gone!
word of advise: DO NOT BUY IT! it’s a hoax..
i need help i cant get this alpha off my computer help me please it blocking som of my sites i cant get into help plz
BTW, Luther, not all free scanners are dikks! Malwarebytes is completely free, and you can purchase for real-time protection if you want. May want to scan with it, you probably did not get it all.
Hi Luther or anyone,
I know someone who downloaded this Alpha crap and now the computer won’t even get into Windows XP. What should she do?
i have got rid of the alpha antivirus but i also am still getting the red pop up screen that says 2 activate antivirus it doing my head in how do i get rid of it any1 plse help
Thanks Luther. At the beginning I used. AVG, Spybot, but no luck. Than I followed your instruction of searching for the Alpha files by going to START-SEARCH, once I found them (3 files) went to the TASK manager/ processes tab & ended all Alpha files & was able to delete the S.O.B.
Thanks to this site I have been able to get rid of Alpha, but I am still getting the red pop up “warning” with the man/sign on the left. It asks if I want to continue unprotected….bla bla blah. I can’t get rid of this thing and it is blocking me from some sites on the net..Address shows ABOUT:blank. How do I get rid of this thing????????
When removing the files, make sure you do a search and check for hidden and system files, I had deleted all, but there was a hidden file that was still in the local document and settings folder that re-activated. Once I got rid of that, all was good!!!
Disable add on in your explorer and that will help with getting on the internet. Then you can download scans if that is the way you want to get rid of it.
hi Luther or anyone…

I saw this for the first time on a Vista machine
I had no luck in finding ANY entries in the registry – I did task manager (did NOT see it running) I installed MALWARE BYTES froim a thumb drive – exicuted it (with ALOT of difficulties) because ALpha kept trying to stop iit – once I installed it (I could not even do updates on Malware Bytes) anyway once I installed it I restarted in SAFE mode, found ALpha in my programs I deleted it / emptied recycling bin / launched Malware Bytes – (FULL SCAN) took almost 2 hours – deleted all files it found to be bad – restared machien – launched Malware Byes again – did updates – installed SUPER ANTISPYWARE too – did updates –
ran Mayware bytes and then Super AntiSpyware deleted all bad files both found … and WHAM … system was totally clear . Both Malware Bytes and SUPER ANTISPYWARE are totally free and TOTALLY ROCK!
GOOD LUCK
