I did the above and appear to have gotten rid of it but now when i go to open programs i get “this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations pane”. what do i do to put this right?

Help, Vista Antivirus 2010 is saying i have viruses, and refusing to delete them if i dont purchase the full version, please help me delete it as this is a very valuable laptop and i cant afford to replace it

I was able to rid myself of this scourge simply by rebooting using the F11 (for Vista)command during start up. This resets all settings to those existing prior to the date you chose. You’ll lose info and settings after the date, most importantly, the virus. Just flow through the windows until you reach the one with dates, choose a date, plus a few more windows to navigate. okay, so I got attacked by the Antivirus Vista 2010 too. I finally deleted it by finding the folder with the Windows Defender in it and deleting the folder because that’s where the whole thing was located. In turn, most of my computer got wiped out. Everytime I click on something it asks what I want to use to open it and when I try to play music it says my sound card doesn’t work. Any help?
