Control Center Descriptions:

Control Center is the latest rogue anti-spyware application from the same generation as Privacy Center. The application does not have anything in common with security. It can rather damage your personal computer than save you form troubles.

I, too, had this same problem. This is what I did: # Press “Alt+Ctrl+Delete“, then click on “Task Manager“. You can also launch the Task Manager instantly if you press Ctrl + Shift + ESC simultaneously. This is much easier than accessing it from Ctrl + Alt + Delete or the taskbar. It works for both Windows XP or Windows Vista.
    # Select the process that you want to stop, then click on “End Process“.

CC has taken over my pc and I’m able to stop the process by accessing task mgr and ending it but the desktop is blank. No start bar, no desktop icons. I booted up in safe mode w/ command prompt but I don’t know DOS that well so couldn’t use any commands to force explorer to appear.

    any ideas?
