Remove Cyber Security (Removal Instructions)

October 6th, 2009 | by Alex |

Cyber Security Descriptions:

Cyber Security is the rogue anti-spyware application designed to take advantage of computer users by threatening them that viruses have attacked their machines. The program is definitely related to System Security 2009 and Total Security 2009 applications.

In most cases, you can infect your computer with Cyber Security after you browse some random sites and hit fake alert pages by accident. However, it might also sneak onto your machine though downloader Trojans.

As soon as Cyber Security is on your personal computer, it copies its fake code to the Registry of the computer and in some other directories in order to be able to influence the uninstall process.

Cyber Security starts displaying simulated malware detection messages including pop-up adds, as well as fake security scanners. All of this is created in order to convince the computer user that the only way out of this trouble is to buy the paid version of the application.

Cannot remove cybersecurity, keep getting pop ups. Have no special computer training and unable to follow manual instructions. Have superantispyware installed and yet got this program anyway. How to rid my computer of it? I have Vista.

Do not purchase Cyber Security, Spyware Doctor, Spyhunter, Stopzilla or any software claiming to remove this fake virus. CS is a rogue anti-spyware application that uses pop up notifications and fake system scans to scare users. You can move around the CS fake defender to access files and websites by using the back and forth tabs. To Remove CS do the following steps: click start/my computer/OS(C):/Program Files (x86)/CS right click delete. The execution file tsc.exe is located in the CS folder, after it is deleted go to /Recycle Bin/Empty Recycle Bin. To remove the fake notification, upgrade windows with latest software IE8. YogiRock.

Can’t get the CS.exe off c drive. Window comes up saying Destination Folder Access Denied and in the box that I “need permission to perform this action”. Nor does pasting direction into windows explorer work. Any thoughts?

Doh, Forgot to empty recycle bin after press ctrl+alt+del
    click process
    click cs.exe
    and click end process.
Once I did that the associated files deleated without problem.

I was up on Facebook when I got this thing, something about it did not sit well with me. So I contacted family about it and this is where they sent me too. I trust them, since they both do this for a living.

My parents got this lovely piece of work on their computer, and I was at a loss about what to do. Their computer has the strength and speed of a snail, so I was really concerned that it might not be able to handle running the anti-virus and coping with this thing at the same time. Unfortunately I was right, so I decided to see what other solutions were out there. I am so happy that I found you guys! I am an IT student so I knew that it had something to do with the registry , but I wasn’t confident about just going in there and deleting stuff. Your clear instructions lead to the saving of my parent’s computer. Thank you so much!
