Personal Protector is a malicious anti-spyware application which looks legible, although is neither able to detect nor to remove computer parasites. Personal Protector is just another variant of Personal Guard 2009.

As soon as the application is installed on your PC, it starts fake scans during which Personal Protector finds a bunch of infected files. However, this is only hype, and a scare tactics to make computer users purchase the full version of the product.

Personal Protector won’t allow me to stop the process – I’ve tried Task Manager, it won’t allow me to do it. I tried getting procexp.exe – it didn’t work either. You need to look closer to find a fix – this won’t do it.

If you boot up into safe mode (mine is windows XP) and then log on as administrator, you can remove the program files and registry keys from there.
I am currently having a little problem with McAfee that seems to have been effected by personal protector…

This personal protector will not allow any programs to run. I can’t ‘run’ any command or task manager. I get the blue screen when booting to safemode. Booting to a safe point does not work. I blanks out my desktop. It does not allow to run add/remove. ….. What do I do?

Safe mode starts an endless loop of rebooting, Programs will not start, neither will the Task Manager. Regedit, Msconfig, nor will the computer access the Services from the Control panel. So Processes can’t be stopped, Auto Deletion Software can’t be loaded. I have even tried taking the hard drive out and deleting the files through another computer, which works, only for the software to re-install itself when the HDD is back in the original PC
