WindowFix, similarly to other rogue anti-spyware programs, is usually installed when a computer user enters a malicious site that is the advertiser and seller of the bogus application.
After the installation, WindowFix keeps displaying fake warnings about the threat on your computer, as well as starts fictitious scans of the computer. Unfortunately, these scans do not provide anything worthwhile. The best solution is to remove WindowFix and save your money.
