You are a star. I had managed to delete the virus, but was at the point of all of these other users. I could run the registry editor, but couldn’t get rid of the keys or set up the right associations. The registry fix excerpt you post above worked perfectly for me.

I wasted 5 hours of my life getting rid of this f’ing spyware. I hope they catch the people that made it and shoot them.

copy and paste it in the file on your desktop. Then click File-Save as … and name the new file Regfix.reg (be sure that the file has extention .reg not .txt). Double-click on the .reg file, click OK when asked.
