SecurityToolbar 7.1 Removal Instructions (Security Toolbar)

SecurityToolbar, or Security Toolbar 7.1,  is another annoying toolbar that installed onto your PC without your permission, through Trojan, malware and virus (or you could get it by installing a fake video codec), then SecurityToolbar directly or indirectly promotes rogue antispyware products. The SecurityToolbar will cause your computer to perform sluggishly, which makes you believe that your computer is affected by spyware so you would purchase their products.

Manual Removal Instructions:

Find and Delete these SecurityToolbar Files:

securitytoolbar.exe

Remove SecurityToolbar Registry Values:
(Learn how to do this)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SecurityToolbar
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SecurityToolbar

    SecurityToolbar is not like GoogleToolbar. I would suggest you try out Google Toolbar which is much better IMO. It blocks all the popups for me.

    I recently found this in my computer. I never installed it though. I tried to delete from the panel but not working. Please help.
