Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer Removal Instructions

Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer (also know as “Trojan Win32 Link Replacer” or “Trojan.Win32 Link Replacer”) used to be a real virus, now fake anti-spyware software like IE Defender will display Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer as their scan result to trick user to buy the fake anti-spyware program. The fake anti-spyware program usually get installed onto your PC without your permission, through Trojan, malware and virus (or you could get it by installing a fake video codec). fake anti-spyware will display the Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the Paid Version of the fake anti-spyware program.

The possible error messages are either “Your browser was hijacked by Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer”, or “Your browser was hijacked by Trojan.Win32 Link Replacer”.     ok, i have the “Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer” virus or spam or whatever it is on my computer. It says my browser has been hijacked. Can anyone who sucessfully deleted this annoying thing help me out?

    is anyone else having problems finding the registry entries?

    Brent, don’t be concerned if the registry entries did not exist. Every infection is different. Spyware creates files and registry entries randomly.

    Did all the above still get that popup..when clicking on file explorer directories as well….use hijacker…remove entry that in bho object called msivideo.dll…the popup stops and all resumes like it was..

    I too am infected just trying to solve, but used another reg cleaner which said they were gone then they reappear after reboot..

    i tried “unregistering” just how it says in the “how to unregister” and it says “this module not found” in every single one
    I also tried searching for files and the first like 10 havent worked… :S is there anything else i can do :S

    I just downloaded spy huter and it is still popping up
