Trojan.Win32.Patched Removal Instructions
December 24th, 2007 | by Alex |Trojan.Win32.Patched used to be a real virus, now fake anti-spyware software like Files Secure which will display Trojan.Win32.Patched as their scan result to trick user to buy the fake anti-spyware program. The fake anti-spyware program usually get installed onto your PC without your permission, through Trojan, malware and virus (or you could get it by installing a fake video codec). fake anti-spyware will display the Trojan.Win32.Patched fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the Paid Version of the fake anti-spyware program.

The possible error messages are either “Your browser was infected by Trojan.Win32.Patched. It’s dangerous for your system (critical files can be lost)! Click OK to download the antispyware program to clean your system!”, or “Your browser was hijacked by Trojan.Win32.Patched”. As discussed previously, these messages are completely misleading. You can safely remove Trojan.Win32.Patched by following our manual removal instructions if you are familiar with regedit and dll files. Good luck!

I find with Spyhunter “poswin.dll” was in C:Windows/ and delection with Mark says in http://www.xp-vista.com/other/how-to-unregister-dll-files . He said
—- To delete a stubborn file that doesn’t want to be deleted.
1. Close all open programs
2. Click on Start, Run, and type CMD and Press Enter to open a Command Prompt window.
3. Click on Start, Run and type TASKMGR.EXE and press Enter to start the Task Manager.
4. Click on the Processes tab, click on the process named Explorer.exe and click on End Process.
5. Minimize the Task Manager but leave it open.
6. Go back to the Command Prompt window and change to the directory where the file is located. To do this, use the CD command.
Example: Make sure you start from the root directory “CD \” then change to the directory where the file is located, such as cd windows\system32
7. Now use the DEL command to delete the offending file. Type DEL “filename” where “filename” is the file you wish to delete.
Example: del undeletable.exe and press enter.
8. Press ALT-TAB to go back to the Task Manager and click File, New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the Windows shell.
9. Close the Task Manager——–

Has any one dealt with Win32/Patched.L?
AVG did not stop it from coming in.
MSE failed to clean it out and constantly barrages my computer with notices. Malwarebytes did nothing to it.
It closed down internet and cd/dvd player. I have tried to download free security to my flashdrive and load it,but, some keeps it from executing.
Any help,or, go buy a new computer.
