    I have removed the virus but still have a message on the desktop that wants me to connect to an active desktop. Most likely reinfecting. I cannot replace the background display or the message.

    Seems to be re-naming the files that you need to delete to get rid if this crap. I’ve been at it for 2 days , and am still stuck with it .
