Video ActiveX Object Removal Instructions
April 15th, 2008 by Alex
Video ActiveX Object advertises itself as a video codec but in fact it’s a dangerous trojan. Via Video ActiveX Object, spyware or rogue anti-spyware softwares such as Virus Heat and Malware Bell would be installed Onto your machine without notices. Video ActiveX Object can also be an Internet browser hijacker which would take over the homepage and set it to keycodec.com, strcodec.com, vccodec.com, ivideocodec.com, softcodec.com or inmediacondec.com. Likely error message would include, “Video ActiveX Object Error: Your browser cannot display this video file. You need to download new version of Video ActiveX Object to play this video file. To download new version of video decoder click continue.” As discussed previously, these messages are completely misleading. You can safely remove Video ActiveX Object by following our manual removal instructions if you are familiar with regedit and dll files. Good luck!

Thank you for the information.
It would be nice if you allowed us to cut and paste the needed instructions into a cmd window. That would have been just as easy as generating the list.
