Virus Heat 4.4 Removal Instructions
April 27th, 2008 by Alex
Virus Heat 4.4 Descriptions:
Virus Heat, Virus Heat 4.4, Virus Heat 3.3, is the one of latest and most devastating counterfeit anti-spyware softwares that endangers the world of computers today. From all previous evidences that we collected, we have a good reason to believe that Virus Heat is a new variant of VirusProtect, SpyLocked and SpyCrush spyware family. Virus Heat usually installs itself onto your computer without your permission, through Zlob.Trojan, Virus or fake software. The easiest way to be infected is through installing ActiveX video codecs. Virus Heat then displays fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the paid version of Virus Heat.

Likely error messages for Virus Heat may include, “Your computer is infected with Spyware. Your Security and Privacy are in Danger” or “Spyware programs can steal your credit card numbers and bank information details. The computer can be used sending spam and you may get popups with adult or any other unwanted content” or “System has detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact the performance of your computer. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted spyware by downloading an up-to-date antispyware solution.” Not only does it cause your machine to slow down dramatically, it would also put your privacy and data in risk.
Last of all, before you try anything here, you need to back up the data if possible. This manual removal instruction is free and there would be no guarantee that it works. Good luck!
Download SpyHunter* Spyware Detection Utility.

If you you can’t remove virus heat yourself, you can phone the Microsoft helpline. They have just talked me thru downloading a fix from the internet. It removed everything! I couldn’t believe how easy it was after trying to remove the damn thing all week. The instructions were a great help but there was no way I could manually remove it myself.

Try Spyhunter. It’s free to scan. If it doesn’t find anything, I believe that you should be good to go.

Star Says
Here’s what I did:
1) download spyhunter and install it.
3) reboot into safe mode.
3) scan the drive with spyhunter. it will display the infected files.
3) deleted the infected files. you need to be very patient. i was frustrated at times and it might take a long time.
4) reboot and virus heat becomes history.

1) i couldn’t find the virus heat 4.3 from the process even though i tried searching for it 4 times from the processes page.
2) There is only wbchha.dll (shown from spy hunter) and i couldn’t seems to remove it from the cmd when i followed the above instruction. It says that “wbccha.dll was loaded, but the DllUnregisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered” I tried to find the file and del it using window mode, but it was protected or something. (even with tune up shredder)
Please reply asap and thxs for the help. (the register, spy hunter and removal of files helped alot)
ps. I noticed another program which was previously not found in my computer and seems to be linked to this program virus heat. Managed to delete it off after i removed the registration files of virus heat.

Guys, Virus Heat is a rebranded software of Virus Protect. They are fake software. Don’t fall into the traps. I only trust Symantec when it comes to AntiVirus. These guys from xp-vista.com do sound somewhat trustworthy. The instructions look legit even though it’s not for average joe. If you aren’t sure, I’d rather have someone look at it.

i had virus heat on my computer and i got rid of it i think. However everytime i search something on yahoo.com, and then i click on one of the search result links, it will redirect me to somewhere totally different. Then i can hit the back button and click on the same link and it will take me to where it is suppose to. Not sure if this is related to the virus heat but it all started at the same time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For those who are unable to locate those *.dll files in windows\system32 directory. Please start your explorer and go to that particular folder. At Windows\system32 folder click File-Properties, check hidden files and click apply. You may then found those dll files and savely delete them

To remove virus heat 4.3, install spyhunter3 and run the scan. It will reveal the locations of the dll and reg entries of this malware.
You can remove all traces of it manually.
To remove the dll and exe files, reboot the computer is safe mode and delete them.
Your computer should be fine after that.

This thing is renaming and regenerating new .dll files. I didn’t find a single .dll file listed. Finally went to safe mode and searched on todays date for changed files. Then, deleted all javascript, php, and internet files. I did find a folder that contained most of the executable and .dll files that began with the word “Net…..”. Sorry I was in such a hurry to get rid of this that I didn’t catch the entire name. This method is a little extreme and may loose some unintended function but at one point Virusheat opened 53 explorer windows sequentually.

I tried to do this on my own, but realized I could REALLY screw this up, plus miss alot.
I decided not to be a cheap b—h, and bought the spyhunter ( had FREE avast and they couldn’t detect the problem).
Well, at first, only some of it would go away, but it said it would remove the rest after reboot. After reboot, my computer said it couldn’t run the file ( virus heat was trying to close it, apparently—it said spyhunter had requested to close in an “unusual” way)
So, I uninstalled spyhunter, reinstalled it, and started the scan again. This time, it got more, and had to get the rest after reboot—-but when I got back on, the virus heat icons were gone and Spyhunter removed the rest of the problems.
Yeah, this virus is a pain in the ass. But, 29.99 is a small price to pay for my sanity, and alot less than buying a new computer, or paying some geek to come work on it and leer at me discustingly during the process.
And, yes, I’ve been a bad girl and looked up some stuff I shouldn’t have. ( The last time I did this, I had 283 viruses and paid up the ass to fix my MOMS computer—how embarrassing at my age!!!)SPYHUNTER ROCKS!!!!
Apr 25th, 2008 at 3:31 pm
B. Lowe Says
Based on some of the questions and comments here, some of you folks DESERVE to be infected with Virus Heat. Case in point (one of many) was the person or persons who were surprised that Spy Hunter wouldn’t do the job for free. Where are you folks from, Mars??
I wonder why the people with infected computers don’t run DECENT antivirus/antispyware programs. In this day and time there are computers that have absolutely no protection software at all. I read over and over on different help forums where people will spend hundreds on video cards, or RAM, or monitors, or cases, etc., but they won’t spend $40 - $60 a YEAR for decent virus/spyware protection. That’s S - T - U - P - I - D. If you get infected it’s generally as much YOUR fault as the IDIOTS who create the virus infections.

I used the spyhunter to find the files then went into my computer and deleted them all and then restart. All the pop -ups and icons had gone away, but when i ran spyhunter again it showed there were still some registery keyes. Is it safe to say that these are just remnats of the virus and wont harm my computer.

After 3 hours of fighting this sh*t, i think it finally worked. I had all of the problems listed above and then some…
Downloading the spyware is useful so you can identify which .dll are running, nothing else since u must purchase a license to remove the files.
I stopped the processes on the ctrl alt del
Search for the .exe and .dll wherever they may be and delete them. Some .dll wont allow you to delete them so change the extension to .doc then reboot the computer and they wont be able to run and u can delete them.
This is what seems to have worked. I hope it sticks.
Sincerely, thank you to everyone who honestly tried to help the rest of us, and a bit more detailed explanations would be better for the rest of us that need the extra help.
