I have a complete different scenario occured to me. During the first two days after being hit by winweb (constant pop ups on my desktop), I turned off my computer for several days as I wanted to do more research on this by using my laptop.
A funny thing happened. Yesterday when I turned my desktop back on for the first time, the winweb icon did appear at the bottom of right screen for a few seconds and then disappear altogether. Since then, there were no more pop ups. I find it very strange. Would it just be gone by itself? I find it very hard to believe.
Has anyone encounter this situation? Please provide feedback. Many thanks!!!
