I just apparently paid $75.95 for XP protection and I can’t seem to do anything. It keeps asking me to register and I keep typing in the registraiton code and nothing’s happening. Now what? I apparently signed up for phone support but I don’t see a phone number!

XP Protection Center really sucks!! It makes itself look exactly like part of Windows. In fact, it’s a fake piece of junk. Microsoft should punish those who created this XP Protection Center software. Sue their ass and put them in jail!

I have read so many comments on this website. One higly recommended method is “system restore”, if the virus didn’t already delete all the restored points. Otherwise, guess you are out of luck. Personally, I would suggest you to back up the data and reformat the computer. That’s the ultimate way to get rid of all the virus.

It’s so annoying how it installed itself automatically. Also when I tried to delete everything I can’t really get rid of that icon in the system tray. Fake alerts are so so annoying.

It struck me during the week-end. So annoying, plus you cannot look for help on google because it messes everything up. Also caused my pc to reboot after 5 minutes.

What worked for me was: reboot in safe mode - restore to previous day - run scan to remove the virus.

    Good luck

Punish XP Protection Centre any way you can. Call them anything you like. Attack their manhood, womanhood, ethnicity, etc. Spread the word.
