XP-Shield, originated from XPshield.com, is a counterfeit anti-spyware software that created to mislead computer users. XP-Shield usually installed itself onto your PC without your permission, through Trojan and virus. XP-Shield will display fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the Paid Version of XP-Shield (You could get XP-Shield by opening an infected message in myspace or installing infected or fake video codec.)

Likely error messages include, “Windows has detected virus or spyware activity on your computer. It is strongly recommended that you obtain antivirus and antispyware protection software. Windows willnow perform a search for installed antivirusssss and antispyware applications.
Found antivirus /antispyware:
XP-Sheild ……………………. UNREGISTERED VERSION
Unregistered applications are usually unable to clean your system. You should register installed software and clean your system to prevent data loss and gain protection from further infections.”

Only process I can find related to XPshield is “XP-SHI~1″. Is this it?
