XPGuard, also known as XP-Guard, is a counterfeit anti-spyware software that created to annoy and mislead computer users. XP-Guard is previously known as XP-Shield. XP-Guard usually installed itself onto your PC without your permission, through Trojan and virus. XP-Guard will display fake system alerts or fake security alerts to trick user to buy the Paid Version of XP-Guard (You could get XP-Guard by opening an infected message in myspace or installing infected or fake video codec.)

Likely error messages include, “Windows has detected virus or spyware activity on your computer. It is strongly recommended that you obtain antivirus and antispyware protection software. Windows willnow perform a search for installed antivirusssss and antispyware applications.

Unregistered applications are usually unable to clean your system. You should register installed software and clean your system to prevent data loss and gain protection from further infections.”
